On Friday the government presented a new package of measures in the fight against the Corona pandemic – which will now apply from Monday onwards.

Vienna. The new measures will come into force on Monday throughout Austria. In addition to the compulsory use of masks, the original relaxation regulation will also be greatly reduced.

Masks in stores
As was the case until May, the obligation to wear masks now applies again in all stores, i.e. in the entire retail sector, for customers and employees.
MNS for waiters
As in all EU countries except Scandinavia, waiters will have to wear the masks from Monday.
Events: with security
Indoor events with seats and security concept may receive 1,5000 guests instead of 5,000
Events: without security
In the future, a maximum of 50 people will be allowed to participate in events without seats in closed rooms
3.000 guests outdoor
At outdoor events – for example in football stadiums – 3,000 instead of 10,000 spectators will be allowed in future.
Restrictions in restaurants
